Strong results for Valhalla Powerlifting Club at the Luxembourg Open Invitational

From 20 to 22 February 2026, two athletes from Valhalla Powerlifting Club competed at the Luxembourg Open Invitational Classic Powerlifting Championships, an international competition that brought together lifters from England, Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland, and the Isle of Man.

We are proud to share that Diana delivered an outstanding performance, earning a silver medal in her category. During the competition, she also set three national records in the deadlift, successfully lifting 123 kg, 125 kg, and 130 kg. Her final lift of 130 kg represents two and a half times her body weight, an impressive achievement.

Bob also took part in the competition and represented the club with great determination and strength.

Events like this highlight not only the athletes competing on the platform, but also the team behind them. Every performance is the result of collective effort, support, and dedication.

We would like to sincerely thank all the club members who supported and encouraged the athletes during their preparation and throughout the entire weekend.

A special thank you goes to Bob, José, Anthony, Louis, and Jean for their help with the organisation during the event.

We are proud of our athletes and look forward to the next challenges ahead.
